Lucas Palicki, native of Cincinnati, received his B.S. in Architecture from the University of Cincinnati’s School of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning. During his time at UC, Lucas participated in multiple architectural internships with multiple award-winning companies.
During Lucas’ time studying at UC, he maintained his lifelong passion for golf, competing on the school’s club golf team, while also continuing to compete individually in many local, state, and national golf tournaments. Lucas’ passion for competition has enabled him to experience numerous challenging courses by a plethora of renowned architects. Through this process, he recognized his true calling: to integrate his architectural skills with his passion for golf in a career in golf course design.
Lucas' involvement with the game began at a young age when he worked as a caddie at Western Hills Country Club while competing in numerous junior golf tournaments and as a member of the Elder High School varsity golf team. Since graduating from UC, Lucas has worked as a shaper for builder Randy Vaught, who has constructed many championship golf courses around the world. Lucas’ work on the crew includes the bunker renovation at Belterra Golf Club in southeastern Indiana, and an upcoming new build in Batavia, Ohio.
Prior to joining Feature Golf Design, Lucas also worked as a freelancer in the field, completing renderings and master plan packages. Lucas’ knowledge of design, modern softwares, and the game of golf have propelled his early career.
